The following people are involved with this project:
JIDI, the JISC Image Digitisation Initiative, created digital image archives for use in teaching and learning within higher education. This library will form part of the JISC's distributed national electronic resource (DNER).
The project digitised 13 collaborative collections (housed within various higher education institutions) in social history, the arts, design, geology and medicine. Funding has also been provided to assist with the digitisation of some special collections, including the Gertrude Bell Archive and the Design Council archives.
JIDI will contribute significantly towards developing a framework for the creation of digital image archives and providing practical solutions which can be adopted by higher education.
