Collaboration and outreach are key trends in research. How can we enhance key strategic partnerships with other HEIs at home and overseas, with industry and with communities large and small?. What do researchers need to foster and maintain such partnerships? What are the potential tensions between openness, collaboration, security and competition? What barriers and opportunities does technology present, now and for the future? What impact does the permeability of research boundaries have on the design and delivery of IT services for research?
Contributors from within and outside the University will describe their experiences of collaboration and some of the enablers and difficulties, in order to prompt thinking and discussion about research IT services for the future.
A draft programme and a booking form are now available.
